All
the CFMI Anger Management Instructors use the Anderson & Anderson
training curriculum which is approved by California and Texas for
Court Ordered Anger Management training and for training for California
and Texas Correctional Officers. Anderson & Anderson training
curriculum is the most effective and most widely recognized curriculum
in the world. The adolescent and adult workbooks contain exercises
focusing on enhancing emotional intelligence, improving assertive
communication, as well as behavior strategies for recognizing, dealing
with, and managing anger and stress. It is currently being used
in various schools, after-school programs, mental health programs,
colleges, universities, workplace, prisons, probation departments,
employee assistance programs, and organizational training for businesses
and corporations.
Anger
and Stress issues are not Mental Health disorders. The Anger Management
model of intervention is not a mental health or psychiatric model
of intervention. Rather, it is a specific intervention based on
cognitive behavioral or psycho-educational intervention. The Anderson
& Anderson anger management model is the most effective and
most widely recognized anger management curriculum in the world
today. Currently the curriculum is facilitated in the United States,
Canada, Guam, South Africa, Bermuda, Mexico, Cayman Islands, England,
the Philippines and Italy. Chaplain Fellowship Anger Management
Facilitators specialize in anger management services for adolescents,
young adults and adults. The Anger Management program consist of
assessment and skill development.
Anger
Management is a serious concern to professional providers of Anger
Management intervention. There are no laws regulating the provision
of Anger Management Intervention. Consequently, Judges have few
informed guidelines to use when sentencing defendants to Anger Management
classes. One unintended consequence of the absence of state or county
standards is the tendency to refer defendants to domestic violence
batterers' programs. These programs, by law, are defined exclusively
to address issues related to violence in intimate relationships.
Defendants who are convicted of road rage, simple battery, or threats
are unlikely to gain anything from such programs. Furthermore, such
a mixture tends to undermine the effectiveness of domestic violence
programs, which are designed to stop violence against women and
children.
CFMI
Anger Management provides a full range of anger management and stress
management classes, effective communication skills training, and
training sessions for building emotional intelligence. Anger is
a natural basic human emotion that is often used to express negative
feelings. Violent behavior, inappropriate verbal attacks, aggression,
Road rage, bullying others, and lack of appreciation for others
are examples of issues that benefit from anger management. There
will always be a post-test at termination of the program to determine
the level of success achieved by each person who completes the training.
World
events have created a dramatic increase in the need for resources
to manage stress and anger. CFMI Anger Management offers a safe
educational environment for clients to learn expressions of anger
that are acceptable to society so that violence and self-destructive
behavior can be avoided. Anyone experiencing anger out burst or
behavior will benefit from the training by learning what stress
is, as well as stress management strategies. They will learn how
to be more emotionally intelligent and how to use proven
communication skills to become a more effective person.
The
training offered by CFMI Anger Management is designed for those
